Tropical Storm Humberto has formed in the central Atlantic and is forecast to strengthen as it tracks northwestward over the coming days. Eurocontrol reports that air traffic control (ATC) staffing shortages are causing flight regulations at both Nice and Cannes airports. Bus driver strikes in Manchester from September 30 to October 2 will disrupt Bee Network bus services. A previous strike last month suspended two-thirds of routes, and significant disruption to public transport is expected again. Advice: * Plan your journeys in advance. Typhoon RAGASA, currently hitting Southeast Asian countries, continues to expand and is expected to affect large parts of Vietnam. This is in addition to Tropical Storm OPONG, which is also expected to bring severe weather to Vietnam. The impact of these two storms is expected to bring heavy rains, flooding, landslides, strong winds, and dangerous travel conditions. The severe weather is expected to continue until September 29. Advice: - Avoid non-essential travel and outings over the next few days. Avoid driving on flooded or slippery roads. - Avoid mountainous and low-lying areas due to flooding and landslides - Stay indoors and sheltered during heavy rains and strong winds. Be prepared for power outages - pre-charge electronic devices and portable chargers, and be prepared with supplies of food, water, and medicine.

Tropical Storm OPONG continues to intensify, moving northwestward, and is expected to hit the Bicol region of eastern Luzon on September 26. The storm is expected to bring severe weather, strong winds that may damage weak structures, heavy rains that may cause flooding, rough seas, and high waves. The severe weather is expected to continue until September 28th. Advise: - Avoid coastal areas and sea travel during the storm. - Stay indoors and in strong, stable structures during the storm - Prepare for power outages due to the storm - Charge electronic devices and portable chargers in advance and be prepared with supplies of water, food, and medicine. - Stay updated on the storm's development and the list of areas at risk on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) website 

Drones were spotted over Aalborg Airport in Denmark. As a result, the airport was closed and the airspace around it was restricted. KLM flights were reported to have been cancelled or diverted to other airports in Denmark, and additional flights were rescheduled. Advice: - Expect significant changes to flight schedules, delays, and cancellations in the coming days. - Stay updated with information about your flight regarding delays, cancellations, or rerouting on the official websites and apps of the airlines. - Stay alert to regional aviation security advisories as investigations continue.

Ground workers, as well as Wizz Air and Volotea airlines in Italy, have called a strike in the aviation industry to protest working conditions and low wages. The strike will last 24 hours on September 26 and will affect domestic and international flights throughout Italy. Airports affected by the strike: Milan (Linate and Malpensa), Rome (Fiumicino and Ciampino), Bologna, Bergamo, Catania, Cagliari, Palermo, Turin, Verona, Reggio Calabria, Salerno, Lamezia Terme, Crotone, Cuno, Pantelleria, regional airports in Tuscany, as well as Venice, Varese, and other regional airports. Advice: - Be prepared for major flight schedule changes, delays, and cancellations, even on airlines not taking part in the strike. Check your flight status frequently if you're flying on Friday and monitor notifications from your airline for updates. - Italy's civil aviation authority ENAC has announced that flights scheduled between 07.00-10.00 and 18.00-21.00 are guaranteed. A new case of New World screwworm has been confirmed in Sabinas Hidalgo, the closest detection to the U.S. since the outbreak began. The parasite infests wounds of livestock, pets, wildlife, and occasionally humans, posing a major threat to agriculture and animal health.   Advice: - Check livestock and pets for wounds and seek veterinary care if infestation is suspected. - Keep wounds clean and covered, use fly control around animals. - Report suspected cases promptly to animal health authorities. - Follow livestock movement restrictions and inspection rules.  

Health authorities have reported an outbreak of leptospirosis and other bacterial infections in El Hajeb. Local hospitals have confirmed multiple cases showing typical symptoms of the disease, raising concerns about possible waterborne transmission. The Ministry of Health has mobilized response teams and strengthened surveillance to contain the spread.   Advice: - Avoid contact with floodwater, stagnant water, or mud in affected areas. - Do not drink untreated surface or well water; use only boiled or chemically treated water. - Seek medical attention promptly if any typical symptoms of leptospirosis appear. - Maintain good hygiene: wash hands with safe water, disinfect wounds, and avoid walking barefoot. - Cooperate with local health authorities and follow containment measures.  

Typhoon Ragasa made landfall in Yangjiang, Guangdong, bringing torrential rain, destructive winds, and storm surges. More than 2 million people were evacuated as red alerts were issued for coastal flooding, with waves forecast up to 2.8 meters. In Hong Kong, storm surges battered eastern districts such as Heng Fa Chuen, where waves crashed into seawalls and flooded streets. Flights were cancelled, schools and businesses closed, and widespread flooding and wind damage disrupted life across the region. Officials warn of continued risks from inland flooding and landslides as the storm moves further into southern China.   Advice: - Avoid low-lying coastal and riverside areas in Guangdong and Hong Kong. - Do not travel unless absolutely necessary in flood-prone zones. - Stay indoors away from windows; secure any loose outdoor objects. - Follow evacuation orders and local emergency broadcasts. - Stay clear of beaches, seawalls, and waterfront promenades due to dangerous waves.
