COVID-19 Outbreak

COVID-19 cases are rising across Southeast and East Asia, with significant increases reported in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and certain regions of India. Hong Kong has recorded 31 severe cases, while Singapore has confirmed 14,200 new cases, leading to a 30% rise in hospitalizations. As a result, officials are encouraging booster doses for high-risk groups. In Thailand, over 33,000 cases were reported in May, with the Songkran festival being linked to increased transmission. India currently has fewer than 300 active cases and is under close monitoring, although no official outbreak has been declared. In Nepal, there has not been a surge in cases; however, the country has enhanced border surveillance.   Advice: - Review your COVID-19 vaccination status, especially if traveling to or from affected countries.
