At least 14 fatalities were reported: four in Manabí, two each in El Oro, Imbabura, and Loja, and one each in Los Ríos, Pichincha, Tungurahua, and Zamora-Chinchipe. Additionally, 91 individuals have been injured, 170 evacuated, and over 75,000 affected. Forecasts indicate moderate to locally very heavy rainfall across most parts of the country from March 6 to 8.   Advice: Avoid affected areas and postpone non-essential travel. Do not attempt to cross flooded streets or landslide-prone zones. If you are in a flood-prone area, move to higher ground and avoid basements or low-lying structures where water can rise quickly.
