Multiple wildfires remain active, with Tolima among the hardest-hit areas
WarningCountry: Colombia
Location: Tolima, with additional fires reported in Antioquia, Nariño, Cesar and Cundinamarca
Multiple wildfires remain active across Colombia, with Tolima experiencing some of the most significant fire activity. Thousands of hectares have burned, and emergency declarations have been issued in affected areas to support firefighting and response operations. Dry conditions may allow fires to spread or flare up rapidly, potentially causing localized road closures, reduced visibility from smoke and evacuations near affected communities and rural areas. Emergency resources are also under increased pressure following the recent earthquake.
Advice:
* Avoid active wildfire zones and follow any evacuation or access restrictions issued by local authorities.
* Check road conditions before traveling through rural areas of Tolima and other affected departments.
* Be prepared for sudden route changes, smoke and reduced visibility near fire-affected areas.
* Follow local emergency services and environmental authorities for updates on active fires and closures.

* Avoid damaged buildings, landslide-affected roads and areas restricted by emergency services.
* Check road, ferry, flight and accommodation status before traveling across Flores.
* Expect possible power and communication disruptions and keep alternative communication arrangements where possible.
