Uganda is experiencing a nationwide blackout following a grid failure that has disrupted power supply across the country.

Spanish weather authorities have warned of unusually high temperatures across parts of central and southern Spain, with temperatures expected to reach 38–42°C in some areas. Ugandan authorities continue to expand Ebola response measures as additional cases linked to the ongoing Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak are identified. Health officials confirmed there are currently no plans to impose a national lockdown; however, surveillance, contact tracing, health screening, and monitoring operations remain elevated, particularly in western Uganda and along border areas with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Clashes between FARDC forces and AFC/M23 fighters have displaced residents from six villages in Walikale Territory, North Kivu Province, with local reporting indicating that affected communities fled the Kibati area due to ongoing insecurity.
