Severe storm system expected across Western Australia

Location: Western Australia, especially Perth, Central West, South West, Lower West, Great Southern, coastal areas and routes to Rottnest Island.
A strong storm system is expected to impact Western Australia from 30 May into 1 June, bringing damaging to locally destructive winds, heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and dangerous coastal conditions. The Bureau of Meteorology warned that locally destructive wind gusts above 125 km/h may affect areas southwest of Lancelin to Albany, including Perth. According to ABC, flash flooding, coastal erosion, waves up to 8–9 meters and Rottnest ferry cancellations are possible on Sunday.

- Avoid unnecessary travel, beaches, coastal roads, exposed viewpoints and ferry travel during the storm.
- Secure loose outdoor items and prepare for possible power outages.

Around 4,000 police officers are expected to be deployed, public transport services will be reinforced, and match ticket holders will be able to use Budapest public transport free of charge from 29–31 May.

Heavy rain, flash flood risk and rough seas across Thailand

Location: Nationwide, with increased risk in southern Thailand, the Andaman coast, eastern provinces, low-lying areas and areas near mountains.
Thailand’s Meteorological Department warns of continued heavy to very heavy rain due to a strong southwest monsoon affecting Thailand, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Flash floods and overflows are possible, especially near streams, in low-lying areas, and on mountain slopes. Rough seas are expected in the Andaman Sea, and small boats in the upper Andaman Sea have been advised to remain ashore until 4 June.

* Avoid boat trips, island transfers and marine activities in the Andaman Sea during storms.
* Avoid hiking, waterfalls, caves and areas near rivers during heavy rain.
