At least 16 people were wounded after a gunman opened fire in a busy Sydney street (Croydon Park) on Sunday evening, discharging around 50 bullets at random through vehicles and pedestrians. The police were locking down the area and arresting a 60-year-old man. South Carolina has reported a growing measles outbreak, with eight cases confirmed in the Upstate area. Thousands of protesters clashed with riot police in Tbilisi on Saturday during municipal elections. Tropical Storm Priscilla has formed off Mexico’s Pacific coast and is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane by Sunday, moving roughly parallel to the coastline. Tropical storm–force winds extend up to 220 km from its center, and a tropical storm watch is active for parts of southwestern Mexico. Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and rough seas are expected to persist through Sunday and Monday, increasing the risks of flash floods, landslides, and transportation disruptions in coastal and mountainous areas.   Advice: - Avoid coastal or mountainous travel until conditions improve. - Check flight and bus schedules for possible cancellations or delays. - Prepare for potential power outages- keep flashlights, batteries, and essential supplies ready. - Follow updates from Mexico’s National Meteorological Service (SMN) and local authorities for weather alerts and evacuation guidance.  

Storm Amy has caused major disruption at Schiphol Airport, with at least 80 incoming and 70 outgoing flights canceled on Saturday. Many other flights were delayed, mostly affecting KLM services. Wind gusts reported up to 90 km/h along the coast and 75 km/h inland. Airlines warn that further cancellations and delays are likely to continue into Sunday. The M48 Severn Bridge is closed in both directions today due to strong winds from Storm Amy. National Highways confirmed the closure and stated that traffic is being diverted via the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge. Other main roads in Gwent may also face closures as wind speeds remain high across the Severn Estuary. Advice: - Use the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge as the main diversion route. - Expect delays and plan extra travel time if crossing between England and Wales. - Avoid unnecessary travel during periods of strong winds.
