Myanmar’s Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a flood warning for Nyaung-U and Taungoo townships due to rising river levels. A 5.3-magnitude offshore earthquake struck approximately 45km (27 miles) south of Port Vila, at a depth of 10km (6.2 miles) at around 17:16 local time (06:16 GMT). There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and a tsunami warning was not issued.   Advice: - Tsunami potential exists for all offshore quakes- relocate to higher ground away from the coast for the next several hours as a precaution. - Stay alert to official notices from Vanuatu’s National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) and regional monitoring centers. - Manage aftershock risk: expect possible tremors, secure loose items, and maintain readiness to move to elevated zones. Environmental activists will rally today, July 13, at 9:00 AM local time at the intersection of Avenida Atlântica and Avenida Princesa Isabel in Copacabana.
