Eight provinces (Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Loei, Bueng Kan, Chanthaburi, Trat) face flash flood risks. The Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand expect waves of 1–2 meters, exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms.   Advice: - Avoid low-lying and hilly areas in Chiang Rai, Chanthaburi, and Trat to reduce flash flood risks. - If in affected regions, stay indoors during heavy rain, secure property, and avoid waterways. - Travelers should carry waterproof gear, delay non-essential trips, and stick to essential plans only. - Stay informed via the Thai Meteorological Department for weather alerts. Conditions may escalate rapidly. - Farmers should reinforce drainage systems to protect crops from waterlogging. - Mariners in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand should avoid stormy areas; small boats should stay ashore.  

A state of emergency has been declared in the Tasman Nelson region as heavy rain and strong winds are forecast from July 10 through July 12. Authorities warn of flooding, slips, rising rivers, and power outages. Orange heavy rain warnings are in place for Tasman, Nelson, and Marlborough, with a high chance of escalation to Red Warnings. Strong wind alerts have also been issued for exposed areas in Tasman.   Advice: - Avoid travel and stay off roads due to expected flooding, falling trees, and slippery conditions. - Do not enter floodwaters, and be prepared for power or communication outages. - Prepare to self-evacuate if water levels rise near your location. - Follow updates from MetService (www.metservice.com). - For emergencies, call 111.  

Pro-Palestinian activists are planning a rally outside the AIPAC office in downtown Chicago at 15:00 (local time) on July 10. The demonstration aims to criticize AIPAC’s role in influencing U.S. foreign policy and its perceived connection to the situation in Gaza. The protest is expected to draw several hundred participants and will take place approximately 600 meters from the Israeli Consulate.   Advice: - Avoid the area around W Monroe St and the Israeli Consulate during the afternoon due to possible crowd gatherings and police presence. - Expect traffic disruptions and possible road closures in central Chicago between 14:30 and 17:00. - If in the area, maintain a distance from demonstrators and avoid engaging with protesters or law enforcement. - Monitor local updates and consider using alternate routes or stations to bypass the protest area.  

Spain’s weather agency has issued a severe storm warning from Friday, July 11, to Saturday, July 12. A low-pressure system is expected to bring intense thunderstorms, heavy rain (up to 40 mm/hour), strong winds, and large hail. Affected areas include the eastern Cantabrian coast, the Pyrenees, and parts of the Balearic Islands. The UK is experiencing a third summer heatwave, with temperatures forecasted to reach 32-33°C in parts of England, Wales, and Scotland. Yellow heat health alerts are in place for England, and Scotland faces an extreme wildfire warning until July 14. The Met Office warns of dry conditions and high UV levels. On July 10, over 18 coordinated roadblocks were reported across Guatemala, disrupting major transport routes and access to essential services. The protests, led by Health and Education Ministry staff demanding higher wages, have impacted key areas in Guatemala City and access to Mundo Maya Airport. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised citizens to reconsider travel to Nicaragua following the severing of diplomatic ties in October 2024 and recent reports of harassment by local authorities. Although Israeli tourists are still permitted entry, the Nicaraguan government maintains a hostile stance toward Israel, and there is no Israeli diplomatic presence in the country. Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Flood Forecast Division has issued a yellow-level flood alert for multiple river basins, including Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, Kamala, Bagmati, and Rapti. Although major rivers remain below danger thresholds, water levels in small rivers and tributaries are rising, posing a moderate risk of flash flooding, especially in 26 to 39 districts such as Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kathmandu Valley, Kaski, and Jumla.   Advice: - Stay away from riverbanks, streams, and steep slopes near small rivers and tributaries. - Avoid travel through flood-prone roadways and low-lying zones, particularly during or after heavy rainfall. - Do not attempt to cross flooded roads or rivers, even if they appear shallow, as undercurrents may be strong. - Prepare for sudden water-level rises: secure livestock, move valuables to higher ground, and coordinate with NGO teams for rapid response.  

Local reports indicate a pro‑Palestine solidarity march will proceed on Saturday, July 12, from 14:00 (local time) beginning at Halmtorvet and culminating at the Bosnian Embassy.
