A suspected bomb explosion occurred this morning near the Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine in Kampala during the annual Martyrs Day celebrations. According to Ugandan police, two individuals believed to be the bombers died when their device detonated prematurely. No bystanders were injured in the incident. The explosion happened just meters from the basilica.
