A mid-air collision occurred on January 29, 2025, over the Potomac River near Washington, D.C. An American Airlines regional jet with 64 people on board collided with a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during approach to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).
