Traffic restrictions are currently in place in downtown Bucharest today, March 1, due to a rally organized by the AUR party. At least 25 people remain trapped after an avalanche buried a Border Roads Organisation (BRO) labor site near the Badrinath highway. Of the 57 workers caught in the snow, 32 have been rescued. A fatal accident at Lugogo on Jinja Road claimed three lives on Friday afternoon. A soda truck lost control, colliding with another truck before striking a bodaboda rider and two pedestrians. A cholera outbreak in Warrap State has claimed four lives—two men and two women—since February 19, 2025, authorities report. A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal at 2:51 AM local time, with its epicenter in Bhairavkunda, Sindhupalchowk, 65 km east of Kathmandu. Tremors were felt in central and eastern Nepal, as well as parts of India and Tibet. No major casualties or damage reported yet, but assessments continue. Nepal’s high seismic risk (Zones IV and V) raises concerns about aftershocks.   Advice: As a precaution, avoid multistory buildings in areas affected by the tremor until authorities verify their safety.
