Italy is experiencing 24-hour travel disruptions due to a nationwide strike affecting both rail and air transport. Hurricane Kiko has strengthened to a Category 4 storm in the Central Pacific. A state of emergency has been declared across Hawaii as the storm approaches. While forecasts suggest weakening before landfall, the islands are expected to face dangerous surf, strong winds, heavy rainfall, and flash flooding risks beginning Sunday and intensifying early next week.
