Heavy Rain Forecast for 38 Provinces

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has forecast heavy rainfall across 38 provinces through September 2, with the highest risk in Lampang, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Lamphun, Chiang Mai, Tak, Mae Hong Son, Udon Thani, Nong Bua Lamphu, Loei, Nakhon Sawan, Trat, Ranong, and Phang Nga. Authorities warn of flash floods and landslides, particularly in foothill and river-adjacent communities. Strong winds and waves of 2–3 meters (exceeding 3 meters in thunderstorms) are expected in the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand.   Advice: - Avoid travel in landslide-prone and flood-prone areas, especially in the northern provinces. - Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and upper Gulf should remain ashore; larger vessels should navigate cautiously. - Monitor updates from the Thai Meteorological Department: www.tmd.go.th.

Coordinated Bomb Attacks in Southern Province

Between Sunday evening and early Monday morning, bombs detonated at six sites across five districts, injuring two people. Targets included a village road, mosque, market, and multiple ATMs/branches of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC). Authorities also reported tire fires set on Highway 4056 shortly before the blasts. Military forces have ordered heightened security across economic and public areas.   Advice: - Avoid affected districts in Narathiwat; more incidents may occur. - Expect heightened checkpoints and delays in southern border areas. - Follow official updates from Thai authorities. - If in the area, remain indoors during the night and avoid large gatherings, banks, and markets until further notice.

Hepatitis A Cases Rising in Oslo

Rail Traffic Halted in Jammu Division After Flood Damage

Student March in Niš and Major Rally in Belgrade due to Novi Sad Canopy Collapse

The CDC Issues a Level 2 Travel Advisory for Chikungunya Outbreak in Guangdong

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 2 travel notice for Guangdong, particularly Foshan city, due to a major chikungunya virus outbreak. Local authorities report thousands of confirmed cases, making this the largest known outbreak in the region.
