The Vietnam Meteorological Center notes that rainfall in mountainous areas may intensify due to cold air. While there are currently no airport closures or transportation disruptions, these may occur following the storm. Advice: - Stay away from and avoid low-lying areas or mountainous areas due to the risk of flooding and landslides. - During heavy rain, stay indoors, in a protected and elevated location, and avoid non-essential outings and travel on flooded or slippery roads. - If you have a flight planned in the coming days, regularly check your flight status with the airline for fear of flight disruptions due to the storm.

Continuous heavy rains and flooding in Chennai have reportedly flooded runways at Chennai International Airport. This may disrupt airport operations and cause flight delays or cancellations. Rain is expected to continue until Wednesday, October 22. Advise: - Check your flight status with your airline and monitor for updates regarding changes or cancellations. - Prepare for long wait times and arrive at the airport well in advance. - Allow extra travel time to the airport due to traffic changes and avoid driving on flooded or slippery roads.

Namibia’s Ministry of Health has officially declared a national outbreak of Mpox (monkeypox) following the country’s first confirmed case in Swakopmund.
